I wish to complain about Safetech Inc, Alarm Systems that I purchased on August 2009. I received the statement by email from one of their Sales consultant for the Basic Alarm System and the contract for 36 months. The total amount I paid for the equipment and installation was $400.15. According to the oral agreement after 36 months of the contract, the sales consultant Sam told me that I can cancel the monitoring service if I want. After 36 months I called and faxed request to cancel the service; at that time, they told me that the Alarm System belongs to them. If I want to cancel the service I would have to pay for Basic alarm cost is $250.00 plus HST and disregarding my cancellation request. A reputable company salesman should not provide false information to its clients to get sales only; he should have been honest and provided the client with the accurate information with no hidden tactics. According to their contract he told me falsehoods and he emailed me false statement on the list of products that I am purchasing. An honest company salesman should not do this to his customer, it is not ethical. I am telling again this is totally unfair. Then I complained to president of the company Mr. Sean O'Leary, President & CEO/Loss Prevention Specialist, but he didn’t give me an apology from his company providing me with false e-mail statements and not providing me with a reasonable solution for this issue.
