Hair Salon
Discrimination

Today, I went to the House of Lords hair salon to apply for a job as I notice they were hiring full time. The Manager, Paul I believe, asked me for my resume.. I gave it to him. Then he saw my Irish claddagh ring on my ring finger and told me he doesnt hire people who are married or pregnant. I told him I wasnt married and that the ring was a birthday present from a friend. And that I wasnt pregnant. Fine. He proceded to tell me that Im not the "type of person" he wants for the image of his salon... I asked what he ment and he said he doesnt want a fat chick working for him. I was appalled. Just so you know... Im 5foot8 and 140 pounds... In my mind Im a healthy weight, the girls he has working there look 14 and a size 00. He then asked me where abouts I lived (about 20 minutes away) I told him, and he said it was to far... even tho I drive. I am extremly offended and actually hurt and discouraged. I want the number to report him. Thats just BS... everyone deserves a fair chance at eveything. Even tho I would not apply there again.
