I recently ordered a few small appliances by phone from Sear, paid for them with my card, including delivery. I was pleased that everything arrived within two days. On opening the expresso maker, I noticed 2 pieces were missing. On further examination I noticed that one of the filters had scorch marks on the bottom like it had beed used (seen this on my old coffee maker). I called the Sears phone number and was told they would gladly send me a new one COD - I said I would go to the store and return it - I went to the store, to the catalogue dept and was told that they will order another one and it will take approx. 2 weeks to be delivered to the store (it is instock) and I would have to come back to pick it up as they do not deliver returned items and they took the returned coffee maker - wrote on the slip - kept in bin 17. Why should I have to use my gas to drive back and forth twice, or pay COD for a new one, when the expresso maker they sent should NEVER have been sent in the first place as it is obvious it has been used-not to mention missing pieces?
