Don't shop at this stupid box store chain. It is truly a company with a terrible customer service record. Just type in Futureshop Complaints and see for yourself.
I advise you to avoid this chain because if there is any screw-up on their part or on yours (for example missing a payment by a day), they will do everything in their power to try and squeeze interest payments out of you.
I can't tell you how long it took me to figure out what was happening with my account (even the people at the Customer Service desk had a hard time figuring out what happened) due to the poor communication between Futureshop and HSBC who does their financing.
The billing was statements were so messed up that I can barely tell you after all this time, what exactly happened.
Suffice to say, I have an excellent credit rating and am eager to keep it that way. So, I pay my bills on time and if there is an offer such as don't pay for 3 months, I make sure to pay it off so that I don't pay any interest.
Well, in the end, I spent hours in their store with their customer service people only to find out that through an original screw-up of theirs, that rippled through my accounts for months (nobody could figure out what the hell happened and kept telling me to wait for my next statement to see if it was rectified - it wasn't), I ended up getting dinged for the interest.
And futureshop didn't give a damn.
What a mess. What a waste of time. If you think you might be saving a few bucks by shopping at this box store, think again, and deal with a smaller outfit that has a reputation for customer service. Futureshop treats clients like objects to squeeze interest payments from. Don't shop at Futureshop. It's a frickin nightmare.
