I made an appointment at the Canadian Tire garage in Vaudreuil to remount my license plate since the bolts were rusted and one of them had snapped off. The guy said it could take from 5 minutes to one hour depending on the condition of the bolts. I showed up the next day for the appointment (Monday) and during the creation of the requisition for the job, I explained to the guy that one bolt had snapped off while the other kept spinning and could not unscrew (bad threading). He said the job could take half hour or maybe one hour and he would call me on my cell once it was completed. And hour later, I called back and no one would pick up. Once I got there, the guy said that the bolts could only be removed by taking off the panel of the rear door and it would take 45 minutes to 1 hour. They would not be able to do it today and I would have to come back another day to make a new appointment.
I was shocked! Not only was my car not serviced but I was not even notified of this by a simple phone call much earlier once they had made this decision. There were no emails that were left out when the requisition was made for the job -- the bolts were rusted, one had snapped off, and one could not be unscrewed but kept spinning in place. They had allotted 1 hour for the job so I could not understand why they couldn't remove the panel and finish the service during that one hour.
I was not pleased and I would definitely not return back to this garage for any future services!
