Misled free service -fee is added on to franchise your purchase

This consulting service provides no support. They have you complete an application to determine which are likely franchises. They tell you that there is no cost to you. They hand you a list of possible franchises and that is the extent of the support you are given. They provide no direction nor do they participate with any of the discussions or negotiations with the company. They also claim even through no discussion every took place that they also represent my husband. I have now found out that I am paying $15, 000 more for the franchise for their representation. They claim to represent me as a business broker even though I never signed an agreement.

I believe that this is a unfair business practice. As far as I know all other broker or agent relationships have to be in writing. I never gave my authorization for them to represent me.

This is a shady group.
