My retired disabled mother reciently had her leg fused (knee removed) and can no longer drive. She decided to use LA Delivery to deliver her groceries. They never gave her a recipt anytime they did so. This most recient trip was excessively expensive so she asked for the reciept. Unfortunately she had already paid the delivery man. She had already also tipped him, but intended on $15, but he instead too 15% which was about $30! She looked at the reciept after he'd left and found an additional $20 of cash on it. He had pulled it out at the till when he had paid. So, he essentially gave himself a $50 tip! She called the manager who said, "Oh, they just do that because they don't always get a tip"!!! So he is condoning this behavior. We suspect that she was ripped off every time she used them, and we have no idea how much since she did not get any of those recipts. I wonder how many other seniors they are preying on in our city.
