Our 2 year old fridge stopped freezing. It was out of warranty (by a month) but I called Sears to get it fixed. They determined that we were out of area for a QUALIFIED Sears Tech. We had to be satisfied with a contractor. Well the contractor came and replaced the fan and monkeyed around with the fridge a few times. He had no idea how to fix it so eventually I just paid him off and asked Sears to send a REAL tech. No can do, you have to be satisfied with a contractor. But the REAL tech just lives around the corner from my house. Too bad. When I contact GE they sing the same song. Contact your Sears store for help. Eventually I found RAM APPLIANCES in my town who know how to fix these stupid appliances and I paid them $600.00 to fix a 3 year old fridge. So a big THANK YOU to GE for the crappy appliance and to SEARS who no longer haver the service they advertise.
