BEWARE!!!
This company advertises all 278 episodes of The Carol Burnett Show on CBS-TV on 8-DVDs for $69.99 with the following website captions:
"278 episodes on 8 DVDs."
I received almost 100 episodes on 8 DVDs.
"Excellent video & audio."
The video is VHS-quality as all the epsiodes included were taped from TV Land's 48-hour Carol Burnett marathon that ran several years ago on Cable-TV.
"Custom artwork."
There is no artwork; only white labels on these homemade DVDs. The artwork on the DVD box shown on the website does not appear anywhere. The actual DVD box I received has poor-quality copied, tinted pictures of the cast.
"Region free."
Each homemade DVD contains many fingerprints & scratches, and each DVD pauses momentarily several times during play.
ALSO:
I ordered the product on 1114/07. My credit card was charged on 11/15/07. The package was to arrive by 11/30/07. It did not.
I e-mailed the company (the only address they list is a UPS box in a mall in Canada, which I found out after several long-distance information phone calls) & they said the package shipped to a wrong address, & that I would have it by 12/6/07. I did not.
I e-mailed the company & they said "the holiday rush" was affecting shipping, & that I did not "read my e-mails fully;" yet they never gave me specifics, such as the exact day the item first shipped, then re-shipped, even though I asked them repeatedly in separate e-mails that went ignored for days by their supposed "24-hour e-mail assistance."
I finally received the package 12/18/07. When I noticed it was only a portion of the complete series, I e-mailed them & asked where the remaining episodes were, to which they replied in an e-mail, "Carol Burnett is only one volume" (even though the box containing the nearly 100 episodes I received is marked Volume One).
I also ordered all episodes of the TV hit "Wings, " and while the episodes were complete in two separate DVD boxes, they are the same poor video quality as Carol Burnett, these having been taped off of a Nick-at-Nite Cable-TV marathon.
This company is shameful, and has no right trying to pass off homemade DVDs as professional copies.
