On January 7th 2006 I spoke with James from Great Cars and Trucks and told him I wasn't interested in advertising my vehicle with his company because of the process required to obtain their Money Back Guarantee. I also indicated to James that I was planning on trading my vehicle for a new one within their 90 Money Back Guarantee period. James verbally waived their money back guarantee requirements because he wanted my business. James said he had a client that was looking specifically for the vehicle that I had advertised with Auto Trader and pretty much assured me that it would be sold within 7 days. James and Great Cars and Trucks will say anything to get your business.
To date, I have received ZERO phone calls from the ad placed with Great Cars and Trucks. On February 25th I traded the vehicle in for a new one. On February 27th I left a message for James indicating that I had traded my vehicle in and I wanted to claim a full refund per our original phone agreement on January 7th. I left messages for James to call me regarding the refund on the following dates: March 3rd, 6th, 9th, 11th, 13th and 16th. James hasn't returned a single phone message. On March 17th I spoke personally with James and indicated that I had left numerous messages. James recalled our initial agreement, we then discussed my refund. James indicated he would have to call me back on March 18th to process my refund because his office person was out. March 18th came and went without James calling. I left messages for James on the following dates: March 20th, 23rd, 25th, 27th and the morning of the 28th. These messages all went unreturned. On March 28th I once again spoke with James, this time he quickly hung up on me.
If you really are interested in selling your vehicle, advertise anywhere but with Great Cars and Trucks. If you advertise with Great Cars and Trucks be prepared to loose your money, have people lie to you, waste enormous amounts of time chasing your refund and receive zero phone calls. Great Cars and Trucks, James and most likely anyone else representing the company are all full of HOT AIR. Auto Trader is a much better advertising means.
