I have recently been made aware of a check scheme that FRAUDULANTLY used my
company. The FRAUDULANT Company is known as SEELYE RESEARCH CENTER - A
Division of Mysteryshoponline.com from Selkirk, MB, Canada (according to one address listed). Now,
mysteryshoponline.com maybe a legitimate business and also unaware of their
affiliation in the scam. I have not researched them, NOR CONTACTED THEM, This
is mearly an attempt to get the word out to everyone I can regarding the
SEELYE RESEARCH CENTER.
From speaking to some of the many, many folks that have called my office this
is how it worked-SEELYE RESEARCH Center - has been soliciting online users
via a pop up to become "Mystery Shoppers" -by accepting their offer you than
fill in your personal information.
In a few days you will recieve an acceptance letter with a check and an
assignment. The letter states - This is a fully funded research position for
a select few who are able to distinguish themselves during the course of
this program. After this training assignment if completed in a timely
proffesional manner can propel those to a weekly salry of $650.00 per week
for the first three mos and as much as $800.00 per week after 3 mos. working
for Seelye Research Center.
The first evaluation will take place in WAL-MART and the second will take
place in two seperate MONEY GRAM locations. The second and third evaluations
are to track the efficiency of the paying/sending system called MONEYGRAM
The first step will be posing as a potential customer shopping and spending
$60.00 at any Wal-Mart location of your choice. Secondly, you will be
trained in a financial transaction by sending a Moneygram to Helen Bell our
(thier) Human Resource Manager in the city of Horwood, the state of NF and
the country of CANADA or to the Director of Operations, James Smith at the
Head Office shown on the letter head. This is considered an official means
for evaluating the speed and efficiency of the financial transaction as well
as competency and customer relations. For verificationn of assignment
completion the assignee is instructed to contact their assignment
coordinator @ 1.514.716.5xxx (someone actually answers, I've been told!!)
to confirm reciept. The "Mystery Shopper" is than instructed to complete a
Customer Service Evaluation Tool (CSET) with a fair and unbiased opinion.
Fax back the CSET with copies of all reciepts.

(fraudulantly) endorsed.
TO DATE I HAVE RECIEVED CALLS FROM CALIFORNIA, HAWAII, ILLINOIS, OHIO,
INDIANA AND TEXAS TO INFORM ME OF THE FRAUD.
