I was sent a letter with a check in the amount of $4, 260.00 made out to myself from Paladin Research Center. This letter informed me that I hade been chosen to become a Consuner Service Evaluater. My first assignment was to go to Wal-Mart and spend $60.00. Next I was to go to two different Money Gram locations and wire moneyto two different places:
1. $1860 was to go to a Sandy Allen, the Human Resource Manager
2. $1800 was to go to Ron Carey at the Head office.
Included in the check was a salaryof $400.00, $60.00 for purchases, $3660.00 for the money grams, and $140.00 for service charges by Money Gram.
I did not have a god feeling about this offer, so I called the phone numberprovided and a Kimberly Jophnson answered the phone and told me this was a legimate offer and she would be my assignment coordinator. At that time she asked me if I was going tochas the check or deposit it. I did not know what I was going to do, but after I opened the account I called back and told her.
I went to the bank and opened an account and put in the check for $4, 260.00, the bank put a hold on the money. When I went back to withdraw the money to do the assignments, the ckeck had been returned and my account has been charged $10.00
I called the phone number for Paladin Research Center and told them what happened, they said to hold on, but they cut me off. I called them right back, but I did not get an answer. I then called then back 3 other time on different phone numbers and was cut off each time.
