I contacted bodizone regarding a personal training franchise. After reading about their "programs" and "proven marketing system' I decided to invest after meeting them. They took $15, 900 in franchise fees, and I never recieved a receipt for it. They failed to research any locations for me, and offered me a " new" location they had just opened up.
After talking to several istructors that quite after not being paid, and speaking with the landlord, informing me bodizone had not paid their rent, I decided to not invest a, dn had a lawyer demand my money back. Bodizone is a front to take your money, and they refused. The location was equipped with equipment from another competitors studio that they took out of his location, saying he owed bodizone money.
They have refused to repay the funds to me, but failed to provide me with marketing training, do demographic studies to find a location, train me, or even provide a copy of a franchise agreement. Watch out for this scam, as their "trainers" and the owners bruce krahn and peter pusitz dont even have valid personal training certificates or cpr first aid.
