Just bought a new 2010 Aveo. When we test drove the car at the dealer they did not have any 2010 available but let us test drive a 2011 telling us that it was identical to the 2010. We bought it because we trusted the salesman (it is the 3rd car we buy from them).
When I went to pick it up and dorve it home, I turned on A/C and suddenly I had to push the gass pedal to the floor in order for the car to push forward. Panicking that there was something wrong I drove it to a garage and the mechaninc test drove it for me. He also said that it was not normal for the car to do this, it feels that it is changing gears or something. So I drove it to a Chevrolet dealer in the area where I was and the person there test drove it and also told me that it was not normal. We drove a 2011 and then mine and it was definetly not the same.
I called my dealership and told them that 2 people agreed that there was something wrong with the car and I wanted another car. Not to mention that we were promised a sun roof and the car came without the sun roof. So the salesperson compensated this by throwing in 4 new tires. (Already there it shows poor service and we should have refused, but once again we trusted this person).
They kept the car telling us that they would test it and sent us home with a rental (Which they wanted to charge us for). This morning they tell me that it is normal for this car to do this and that all 2010 models do the same thing. FALSE ADVERTISING AND LIES. He told us that the 2011 waas identical to the 2010. WE TRUSTED HIM AND WE GOT SCREWED. Now they won't take the car back and they are giving us a hard time. I don't want this car and I don't want to deal with this dealership any longer WHAT CAN I DO??? HELP!!! Tonight I am going to return there rental and I am leaving without a car. I WILL NOT DRIVE TE 2010 HOME. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE IN THAT CAR.
