Ripoff CONTRIBUTE TO CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION AGAINST GREAT CARS AND TRUCKS!

This company solicited me for a month stating that they had seen my vehicle ad on AutoTrader.com, and for a small fee they could introduce me to buyers who were interested in my exact model; also, they could help me sell my vehicle by posting an add through their web-site (greatcarsandtrucks.com). On August 14th, 2006 I decided to purchase the service from the company for $162.66 using my American Express card, mainly due to the fact that the company had a 90-day money back guarantee. After 90 days I printed out the money-back guarantee form and took the form as well as my GA vehicle registration card to the UPS store to have the document notarized proving that I had not sold my vehicle (receipt retained).

After leaving the UPS store I went to the U.S. Postal Service and mailed the document and I witnessed the postal worker post-mark the envelop (the company stated that the envelop must be post-marked within 7-days after the 90 day period) and I retained the receipt. I then called the company two weeks later to see if the documents had been received. A female receptionist stated that it may take up to six to eight weeks for the refund to be processed.

On January 5th, 2007 I called the company again and the female receptionist told me to direct my questions to [email protected]. On that same day I sent this e-mail message: "My name is Joseph Lamb and I mailed in my money-back guarantee form on November 15, 2006. I wanted to check on the status of my refund. My mailing address is... Valdosta, GA 31602 and my vehicle is a 2005 Pontiac GTO. I had paid for the great cars and trucks service with my American Express card which has since been lost/stolen. Please let me know if this will create a problem, or if you require more information to inquire about the status of my refund. Thank you". I never received a reply. On March 1st, 2007 I began calling the company asking to speak with the refund department or a manager. For the past three weeks I've been told that someone will take my number and return my phone calls, but no one has returned my calls.

I have since opened an investigation through American Express, Better Business Bureau, and the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. If you've become a victim of this company, then I have some info as to how you can contribute to an investigation being conducted by Service Alberta, which oversees Fair Trade laws in the Alberta region. PLEASE, file your complaints at https://www.servicealberta.gov.ab.ca/index.cfm? fuseaction=section: consumers: complaints, so we can attempt to get our money back and bring justice to this company for fraudulent practices. Please, only file a complaint if you have official documents and feel as if you've truly been wronged. Again, if you feel as you've become a victim then DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
