I dealt with Great Cars and Trucks when they called me saying they had potentially 7 interested people in my car. They said they saw the ad on Autotrader and were primarily a financing company. They said these 7 people would only be able to contact me if I listed with Great Cars and Trucks. I asked how much it would cost, and they said $200, but told me about their risk free 90day money back guarantee.
I was really desperate to sell my car, so I agreed and paid. Didn't receive a SINGLE phone call from anyone (Or my sales rep again) for the entire 90day period.
I did not sell my car, and applied for a refund. Spent $40 on a notarized copy of the guarantee form and got a response saying that my form was not postmarked within the 7days from the end of the 90 day policy.
The funny part is that this letter I received was typed, but has sections that are filled in with pen. sections filled in are the dates and number of days over the 90 day period. Seems like its a general template they use quite often. I was told by the salesman that no matter what, as long as I DONT SELL MY CAR, I will get a refund.
After reading other reports on here, I know now that other people have encountered problems with this company, and I will be doing all I can to get my $200 back.
