Ramada And Imperial Majesty Cruise Lines
Sad to say I worked for them

I cant really say I worked for imperial majesty cruise lines. I originally was interviewed for a comany called CMTT Marketing..by the way if you try looking them up on the internet you will find nothing about them, Ive already tried. I had orginally found this job on craigslist. The title of the job on craigslist was hotel reservationist..make between $400 to $600 a week. So I was like okay sounds great, all we have to do is help people book hotel reservations, so I called and booked an interview. I was very ify when I found the location... when I got in the building and looked on the directory I looked at the directory... they originally told us they were on the 3rd when we called but I wanted to look on it for the hell of it. Why was the 3rd floor the only floor to not have a company name listed on the directory... I found that strange but went up to the interview anyways...

Now lets skip ahead to when I got the job and went in for my first day. Our first day was an in class session. We took notes about rules and such..and the manager reiterated again and again that this is not a sales position. And if you think that then you are not going to be successful... She told us we are dealing with pre registered clients... now I know that meant people who filled out a ballot at a specific event. She told us how they were currently working with Ramada hotels.

Now we get to the second day, where we get onto the phones. I go into this room with a front desk and a board at the front with names of people and how much people they get registered for the vacation... they tell us they do that just to have some healthy competition going... right. I go and sit in one of the booths where theres a phone and headset and also a plaster of rebuttles posted on the wall. Like if a person is hesitant about giving their credit card number on the phone, theres 3 rebuttles alone for that one argument. So in other words we dont think for ourselves..they tell us what to say and how to think when dealing with a customers concerns.

When I read the script I felt exactly how they told us not to feel or think like..a sales agent. When making these calls those feelings were just multiplied by 100. I got a lot of people who thought it was a free vacation (there was a rebuttle for that)... I got a lot of skeptical people (theres rebuttles for that).. They have rebuttles for every argument possible. I got people hanging up and telling me to take their name off the list... for $10 an hour its not worth it.

The script..was such a lie. We're supposed to tell them we're callin from imperial majesty cruise lines (a U.S based company) when in fact we're callin from a building in toronto from a company thats supposedly called CMTT Marketing..right. So why are we lieing to these people telling them we're callin from Imperial Majesty when we are not...

And the managers told us its not how much people you register its how hard you try... right. But when no one in the call center wasnt getting anyone registered..they proceeded to have a talk with us..telling us what was going on..and how come theres no one registered. I thought it was about how hard we tried and not how much people we registered?.right. Oh and did I mention that the more people you register the more money you make on top of your hourly $10.

After a few days of being there..I didnt try at all. If a person wasnt interested I just said okay and hung up the phone, I didnt even bother with the rebuttles. I felt like a telemarketer trying to sell a vacation to someone which is what we are doing. And I hate telemarketers... So after a week I just quit. I cant work at a place where Im told what to say and how to think.

After reading what people had posted about imperial majesty..I felt I had quit and to post what I experienced working with them or working with CMTT marketing..I dont even know who I was working for..how sad is that.

Anyone with questions feel free to ask me. And I am so sorry for all who had a run in with this scam.
