On January 20th I attempted to book a reservation for the following night January 21st. The Days inn website defaults to the "current date" for reservations if you fill out the form and you miss an entry. For example, I was booking for Saturday, I put the postal code in the wrong format and it sent me back to correct it, but at the same time it also changed the reservation date to the day I was making the reservation January 20th, From the date I was trying to reserve, which was the 21st. Upon arrival on the 21st I was told there was an issue with my booking, that it had been made for the night before. The clerk asked if I had booked on the website, and mentionned that they have alot of people encounter the same issue. She then informed me that I was to be charged for the previous night regardless. Being in a strange city and needing a room we decided to deal with it later, we checked in for the night of the 21st.
Upon returning to the hotel and retiring to sleep around 11, we were kept awake by constant disturbances.By the time 3am rolled around a fight had broken out in the hallway and a party of about 20 people took over the second floor hallway drinking and partying right abouve our room. I went directly out to the lobby (in my pyjamas no less) and was told there were having difficulties getting the party under control and that my room would be further discounted. I informed them I would be sleeping out in my car from that point on. As I checked out in the morning I was told that they would not in fact live up to the promise of the night clerk with a 20% discount, 10% is the most they would give me despite the fact that I SLEPT in my CAR. I should not have been charged period! The lack of abilities for thier security guard and front desk clerk to throw out patrons disturbing the rest of the hotel was completely unacceptable and I was completely discusted when the morning clerk informed me "this is downtown Windsor Ma'am, this should be expected". I paid for a room to sleep in, and slept in my car. WHAT A RIP OFF!!!
