I booked yesterday a weekend vacation for my myself, husband and four children. I booked it online as they had listed a 2 bedroom condominium at such an amazing price I couldn't turn it down. Normally we could not even think of affording such a vacation.
I booked it online, inputted my credit card info and received a notice that my confirmation would be sent on my email. I received my confirmation # with the price per night and total package price including taxes. I was thrilled as was my family. Just ecstatic.
This afternoon I received a phone call from reservations saying that they cannot honour the price as it was an error. They told me to keep the unit I reserved I would have to pay $575/night which is so far out of my budget I cannot tell you. I said they should honour the price I got as I had a confirmation # and everything. They said that in Quebec they don't have to honour it as it was an error.
I told them not to cancel my reservation as I would like to speak to legal counsel and get confirmation of what he was saying. Tell me that they have to honour the price listed and my confirmation # please!!
