VIP Vacations In Paradise
Promises made of their services were not fulfilled. Got taken for several thousand dollars

Usaconsumercomplaints.com,

We have just read the report from Karen, Kincardine, Ontario Canada concerning her experience with Vacations in Paradise, (VIP) Collingwood Ontario! We can go her one better. We accepted the offer of the mini vacation and also had problems with our accommodations. However, we actually bought into their system. Our experience with the company was very disappointing. On January 24, 2004 we sent them the following letter:

To: Vacations in Paradise Management

Dear Sirs: We joined Vacations in Paradise August 12, 2003 after a delightful visit to the Georgian Bay area. We were pleased with the features and promises presented to us. After a few weeks we became very disappointed as the promises never materialized and we received no Services.

We paid $6447.93 of which $421.83 was the Canada GST. Susan Leveque, Director ofSales & Marketing assured us this tax would be refunded. We followed her instructions and applied for the refund. Canada Customs and Revenue Agency disallowed our application.

Twice we requested clarification and instructions on how to correctly word the application for rebate. No instructions were received.

In September we planned a trip to New England for the foliage season. Our departuredate was September 26, 2003. We made arrangements to visit relatives and friends for the first
six days. About a week before departure we decided to ask VIP to assist us with lodgingreservations, three days in northern Vermont starting October 2nd and three days in northern New
Hampshire starting October 5th. VIP agreed to expedite the request to the travel agency and the agency would work with us before departure. We did not hear from them so we called their office during the published office hours and left a message on voice mail. No response. Wecalled again before departing. Still unable to talk to anyone. We made our own reservations and
went on our vacation. Two weeks later when we returned home, there was no message from the travel agency! It made us wonder why we joined this Club.

Since joining VIP we have tried to contact Member Services numerous times. Almost without exception we would get the answering machine and leave a message. Return calls were often slow in coming. Sometimes not until the next day.

We entered this membership in good faith and have tried to use the system as it was promised. All attempts have failed. Under these circumstances, we believe our payments should be refunded and the Membership Agreement revoked.

Please refund our fees and terminate our membership.

Thank you.

Yours truly,

As of Feb 3rd 2004, we have received no response to our letter.
