Ripped us off on our vacation last year in Punta Cana. Ripoff!

We book our travel arrangements through a travel agent who booked us thru the Sunquest Vacation tour, to the Punta Cana - Occidental Grand Flamenco this is a 4 star hotel, well, when we arrived there we saw a person holding a sign telling us to go to the a vehichle which will take us to the hotel, that was fine.

Upon arrival at the hotel we got there around 12noon our rooms were not ready, we have 3 rooms the first was was ready at 2pm the 2nd a 4pm and the last room 6pm. We finally got into the room the floors were wet, one of our friends slip on the floor had to use the towels provided in the room to wipe the floor dry, asked for towels we are still waiting on those.

The next thing was the food were not labled so we had no idea of what it was were eating, most of the kids got sick, so most of my nights was spent in the washroom with my 7yrs old. The afternoon of the next day after our arrival, we had no hot water, we called and told the front desk and was told that it was going to be looked at nothing happened until next morning at 7am the repairs was being done, I go on a holiday not to have to wake up at 7am this went on through the day.

Everytime we called the front desk for any thing about eg. the food not being labeled, the water and towels, we were told basically too bad. They could not understand us as most of the front desk staff and waiters were all Spanish. We had reported this to our travel agent the same time when the when the hammering was going on and she could hear the noise. We spent over $10K each family and the response that they offered us below is some like a slpa in the face. Please see the response of one our our letters to them: Your most recent correspondence was received in our office on December 10, 2003 and we regret that you remain dissatisfied with our response to your concerns.

In appreciation of your disappointment with your holiday, we offered each family a $250.00 certificate valid for future travel. We do not agree that further compensation is warranted. If you wish to accept the certificates please forward the signed release forms to our office.

Our holday started Jul 19 for one week. Now why would I take a travel voucher to travel with them again, don't think so, as this time I have spoken to the Manager and she was suppose to get back to me this has been going on for over a couple of months now.
