I joined Mademoiselle In Brampton, Sandlewood location December 31, 2004 with my sister. On February 15, 2005, I decided to take their offer of a personal trainer. 1 free session, and pay for the ramaining 8, as per our contract. During this time I was working full time and also going to school 3 days a week, so finding time to regularly hit the gym was a task in it's own. My first session with my personal trainer (I'll leave her name out) was in Feb. After the first session my trainer, she asked me when I would return for the next session. I explained my busy schedule, and that I could'nt arrange a time right then, but would be in contact. My sister also was using a different personal trainer at the time, whom I was introduced to during a regualr visit to the gym with my sister, and whom I saw on the day of my training session with my trainer. Two days after my session my sister came home from a session with her trainer, and I guess had bumped into my trainer while there. When she came home she asked me if I told my trainer I was working Ft and in school. I told her yes and why? Apparantely my trainer was making comments to my sister that I am a whimp who makes excuses for not coming to the gym. I was to say the least insulted, so didnt return. But since I signed a contract, I allowed my payments to go thru. Several months later (Jan 27, 2006) I received a call on my cell phone from the accounts receivable at the gym. Apparently the AR claimed to have left messages for me from Aug 2005-Dec 2006 on a home phone that was disconnected Jul of 2005. On my file they had my cell phone, which is still active, but it took them 6 months to even think to call me on my cell. I had a change of address from my previous add on they're file as well, yet I recieved no mail. As per their accounts recievable I needed to give them a separate void check for my training sessions, which was never expalined to me, or even asked of me at the time of signing the contract. And when I asked the accounts recievable person why I wasnt asked to provide the void check at the time of signing the contract her reply was "I dont know". When I asked why did it take her 6 months to decide to call my alternate phone # (cell) which was clearly on my file, her reply was "I had a bad experience where someones father yelled at me for calling the alternate #??? Im sorry, so you mean to tell me that you didnt do your job because you were scared??? I am not saying I dont them $401.25, for training sessions I never used because they hire ignorant staff. What I am saying is that for 6 months my account got further and further behind, when they already had my bank account info to take payments (they were taking their gym fee's the whole time) and one day the AR decided..hmm maybe i'll try calling the other # on file..and I am advised.."oh by the way, you have to pay $401.25 for back payments." I think that this company is incompetent, ignorant, and be for warned when considering joining this gym
