To send flowers for a friend, I used urbanflorist.com. There is no indication on their site that it is not a local florist - in fact, when I "googled" florist in the city I was sending to, up came urbanflorist as "proudly serving xxcity" I paid extra for extra flowers, next day delivery and gave my credit card which was quickly charged. Several days later - no flowers - no response to email inquiries, mailbox at number provided was always full. Finally, a box of pathetic wilted flowers arrived by purolater - with no indication that it was perishable and long past their freshness date.
No ability to get my money back, and I've since learned that the company has been suspected of credit card fraud, so I've had to suspend my credit card at great inconvenience. Purolator and FedEx should be ashamed of doing business with them. Not a bloomin' happy customer.
