We are departing to Surrey twice a month. Our departure dates are every 10th and 25th of every month. This means that we can pick-up your goods absolutely any time, and then send them on the next departure date. It will take approximately 7-10 days for the goods to arrive. Upon arrival we can have the goods delivered to you at your request.
Here are our rates:
The price of the shipment depends on the weight of your goods;
Every pound directly at 60 cents per pound
Plus $200.00 Pick-up area surcharge in Woodstock, ON
Plus $50.00 Scale Fee (Before the pick-up we scale the truck empty, then load your shipment and scale the truck full. The difference between the two scales is your exact weight. Both scale tickets will be provided to you for confirmation)
Plus 6% GST

According to the information we received from your estimate request, you have a 1-3 bedroom house. This means that you have approximately 2, 000 - 4, 000 Lbs.

Here are all the details for your move:
Total weight came to 4400 lbs
Total cost including GST is: $3540.40
If you would like delivery in Abbotsford, BC there is an additional $150.00 for a delivery there, since it is an out of area delivery.
Therefore, the new revised balance with the delivery charges going to be: $3, 699.40.
Please have the payment ready for delivery. Payment must be made in the form of a certified cheque, money order or cash. If you prepare the payment in the form of a certified cheque or a money order, please make it payable to CAPITAL MOVING SERVICES INC.
As you see the price had over doubled the quote! When I questioned this, this is the reply email.
However, if you would like, we can perform a re-scale in your presence. It is your right to request a rescale if you do not believe that the weight that I provided you with is correct. However, if we do perform a re-scale and the weight does come to the same amount again, you will have to pay a penalty price of $250.00. If that is agreeable with you, then please let me know when you want it done and I can speak with our Vancouver office to arrange this.
