I had a 3-year unlimited data plan for $90 or so a month. One day they called, saying this type of contract didn't make any sense for them, and told me to either switch to a new plan (that would have cost me over $2, 000) a month, or have my account cancelled.
My account was cancelled within the hour. Had I cancelled the contract myself, I would have had to pay $400 in penalties and give one month notice... Bell however thinks the rules don't apply to them.
I have filed a small claim action in Ontario Superior Court in Owen Sound, under number 09-407 SC...
