I received a letter from this company and a check in the amount of $4, 250.00 on a Saturday. I sat on it over the weekend and called them Monday morning. After speaking with Adam Stevens I felt comfortable that this could be a viable business. (Ihave been out of work for 5 months and my husband has been struggling with colon cancer for 2 years). The gentleman I spoke with was Adam Stevens, who was to be my coordinator.
I went to my bank and deposited $400.00 (which was to be my pay) and got the rest in cash to do the shopping and the money grams. They listed in the letter my salary and training pay would be as follows: WalMart Purchase ($60.00) -- they told me I could buy anything, just to critique the company on their "company evaluation forms". Then I was to do a Money Gram transaction for $1, 860.00 from Wal-Mart and again critique the Money Gram Station and finally I had to send a money gram from Mi Tierrita's which is a mexican meat and grocery store for $1, 860. I was to earn $400.00 for my work. I did all of these things in one day which they said would make me an a member and on my next assisgment I would make $650.00 instead of $400.00.
The next day I could not get an answer at the company, at which time I called my bank to advise them that I may have been scammed! My bank informed me that we were in a waiting period to see if the check would clear. As you can imagine by Friday the check had bounced and I'm stuck with owing the bank $4, 250.00. I have been a long-time customer with my bank and unbeknowst to me anything under $5, 000.00, they will cash.
As you can imagine, crooks are sitting on the internet getting our information off of Career Builder and Monster. This is a desperate economy and I fell for such a bad thing. I am writing this blog in the hopes that I can save some fellow Americans from the hurt and anguish this whole scan has cost me. A police report has been filed and the FBI and Postal Inspector notified. I hope they get these guys, but it is doubtful!
