Received letter From Links Financial Sevices, Inc. from a Herbert Spencer (promo manager) and Fred Harris (claim agent), stating that I won a lump sum money of $450, 000 fro a canadian lotto drawn on Jun 6, 2007. Enclosed is a cheque amtof $4, 700 (header: Internet escrow services, address of 6251 Laguna canyon Road, Irvine, california 92616) which can be drawn from Bank of America (2345 N Lake Ave. Altadena, CA 91001-2469). It further states that it has a tax amt of $2900 to be paid to a certain sharon perkins (tax agent; adress 4366 parliament rd, halifax, nova scotia, canada) and wire it via western union. I called the tel number on the letter, Fred harris answered and said" Did you already cash in the cheque? " I answered, "no." "well, just deposit it..its that simple." I am a victim of fraud but made effort to investigate first. This needs to be reported to the FBI as these scammers are victimizing people from the US side and is getting out of hand. How many more people who are naive will be ripped off. This has got to stop.
