I recieved a Certificate of Award from Evan Jenkins of Scotia Financial Company, subsidiary of Euro Lotto Corporation; sayiny that I had won $65, 000 thru them drawing my name thru the North Amercan Sweepstakes. There was a check for $1, 965.50 enclosed in the letter. Everytime I tried ot call Evan he was not in his office so someone else would talk to me. everyone tole me the same thing to cash the check to pay for my taxes on the money I had won and to send it to Harry Patricks or Peter Law at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada B3H1A1 and I would get the rest of my money within 24 hrs. Icalled on eof the numbers on the check the girl said it was good, I cashed the check and that woman had the check verified. when I went to wal-Mart to get a money gram to send to those people i was told of alot of people getting ripped off. i came home and checked on the computer and found out it is a rip off. Am I going to be responsible for that check I cashed or will the Chase Bank of Mathatton be responsible, they answered the phone like it was the bank and the woman that cashed my check wrote the woman's name down that verfied the check??
