The Phone card I used is called "Euroline." The card says "NO CONNECTION FEE", it is $5 for 52 minutes for the international country I am calling.

In tiny writing on the back of the card, it does say *surcharge applies to international calls. But it does not say what that surcharge is.

I called 4 days ago and spoke for 20 minutes. I should have 32 minutes left. (Assuming no "surcharge.")

I call my friend overseas today. The recording on the phone from the phone company says I only have 6 minutes left to call!! Once that call expires (in just short of 6 minutes), I dial the customer service number on the card and am on hold for 15 minutes. I should still have 26 minutes remaining on the card, and am determined to get it.

After speaking with the Customer Service rep and giving them my PIN # they automatically gave me another 6 minutes. I tried to ask why so much less minutes than the 26 minutes I should have left, the woman explained that on the first call I am charged 50 cents (I thought no connection fee!) and for every day after that if I don't use it I get charged 10 cents.

Well, it's only been 4 days since I last used it, so that's only 40 cents, plus the 50 cent first-call surcharge... even with all these ripoff charges, I should still have had 22 minutes. So, 22 minutes minus the 6 minutes I called today should give me 16 minutes at least. What's with 6 minues? The woman could barely speak English, I couldn't understand her, she couldn't understand me, I asked to speak to some else, she put me through to her supervisor and I was on hold for so long I hung up to call my friend back.

So, I try to call my friend, and it doesn't go through, nothing happens, no dial-tone, nothing. Then a recording says my phone card time has expired!

So, I call Customer Service again, fuming. I am put on hold for another 15 minutes. They take my pin number, then give me another 5 minutes. I am fuming, wasting so much time, my friend waiting on the other side of the world after midnight, I am getting ripped off and getting the run-around... This company rips you off, then makes it so difficult to get the correct amount of time back on your card. They want you to give up. They must make a mint this way.

Anyway, I am more stubborn than most. I demand to know why I am being ripped off, and how this company can justofy lying and thieving. This is my conversation with the customer service rep (who also can barely speak English)

Me: "Why is it that you advertise all over the card
"no connection fee, " yet you have all these charges? "

Her: "Well, the first time you call you get charged 50
cents, then every day you get charged 10cents.'

Me: "Well, isn't that a connection charge? "

Her: "No it is not."

Me: "Well, I call and I get charged every time I call
and connect. If that's not a connection fee I don't
know what is."

Her: "No it is not."

Me: (anger spiraling upwards) "What are you talking
about? Your company is a scam and a ripoff. I get a measly total of 30 minutes of this 52 minute card. This is disgusting."

Her: "I don't understand you."

Me: "I am speaking perfect english."

Her: "Stop yelling. I am a worker."

Me: "I am a customer and I am upset and I want to know
why your company is such a major ripoff. The card says
I get 52 minutes, no connection fee. There is nothing
that states 50 cents etc etc. for one thing. For another thing, I have to call twice, get put on hold to get incremental time, I have to fight to get even HALF of what is rightfully mine and what I paid for."

Her: "Well I am customer service and have a good day
goodbye." Click. She hangs up on me.

I cal my friend with the remaining time of 5 minutes, it barely lasts 3 minutes, then my card is expired again.

This company - Millenium Global Telecom inc. - is a SCAM artist company, a fraud and a thief. Do NOT buy any of their cards. The one I used and got ripped off from is called "Euroline Phone Card, Ontario."

Grrrrrr!!!
