I would not recommend Eclipse Photography.
Kim Mara, owner and photographer of Eclipse Photography represents herself as an award winning upstanding member of the community and an accredited member of 2 photography associations. Regrettably their business conduct proves otherwise.
On February 13th, my spouse and I enlisted Eclipse Photography to take some photos of our family with our 2 week old baby.
We have been charged $2016 and Eclipse Photography claims our photos and CD have been ready since Feb 24th. We have requested our preview of the images on numerous occasions but Eclipse Photography refuses, denying us an opportunity to approve the images before they are printed. Kim claims that we have no right to select our own photos for print.
Kim has processed the film herself without us approving which are to be printed and stated to us that "107 of 108 images turned out great". We replied that we were excited to see the samples and if they were all great, we would indeed purchase all of them. Kim has still refused to provide a viewing and allow us to select our photos.
The latest development is that Kim Mara has requested we sign another contract with her and pay an additional $3000 taxes for negatives we have never ordered and are supposed to be kept on file by her for 2 years. She has stated if we refuse to sign the agreement and pay her the additional monies that she will not send anything and we will have to take her to small claims court to receive our photos.
We have exhausted all reasonable efforts to resolve this issue with Eclipse Photography. Meanwhile; she has our money and all the photos. It has been devastating to our family to entrust someone with the precious moments with our 2 week old baby. These cannot be replaced and are now lost given that the experience has been corrupted by Eclipse Photography. We have made many attempt to resolve this to no avail.
We would not recommend her services to anyone.
