SCAM!!! SCAM!!! SCAM!!!
I received a letter with a realistic looking check for the amount of $3, 815.00 nothing happened to me because I suspected something funny after seeing a Canadian return address but according to the letter the company is located in Houston, TX - but the phone number is for Canada. Smelled really fishy! Great looking offer though, pretty slick. The company is going by the name Net survey & Marketing Inc. The check for the amount of $3, 815.00 looks authentic right down to the water marks on the back of the check. The instructions were to $200.00 to shop at either Walmart, The Home depot or J.C Penny or to stay for one night at Best Western or Days -Inn. next I was to send $3, 150.00 to an address that would be given to me by my assignment coordinator. I would be enrolled into a Probationary program that would be for researching Retail Stores and Financial Services. I would be paid $300.oo per week to begin and it would go to $600 weekly if I passed the 3 hour training portion.
Also if I stayed with the company for 3 months, the salary would raise to $750. per week. Last but not least I was told to call a 514 # and speak to my new assignment coordinator named Ms. Sylvia Benson (514-746-8598). It also stated that I was to complete the application and survey form that was enclosed with the check and fax it to 1-800-799-5139. I am reporting this because I found 2 other reports here on the complaint on this company, there is one report identical to mine and another with a different name

, but notice the same fax number. I am sure this company is scamming hundreds of U.S. citizens out of their hard earned money. The way I see it happening is, you deposit the check into your account then you call your "Assignment Coordinator" and they tell you to send a Western Union Moneygram to one of their "Training Agents" (for the amount of $3, 150.00 plus there is a service charge by Western Union/Moneygram for $165.00) in a different location as part of the qualifying process to see if you pass the training test, after you do this, you will be surprised to find in a week or so, that the check that you deposited was bogus and you are not only out the $3, 815.00 that you thought you deposited, but now you have to pay the bank fees or fines for a bounced check. You just gave them $3, 315.00 of your own money and got screwed out of $3, 815.00 plus fines and fees.
Wouldn't that brighten your holidays!
(C.P. 11078 Station a MTL QC H3C 5B7) I came across this website and found complaints that have been reported for the past 2 years. I'm also glad I did my research first otherwise I also would have been on a long list of people who have unfortunately been tricked into either cashing or depositing this bogus but realistic looking check. The name on the check said FIDELITY BROKERAGE SERVICES and the bank it was to be handled through on the top left corner of the check is BNY MELLON TRUST OF DELAWARE, Newark, Delaware. On the Acceptance form that comes with the letter and the check, it also states that they are an affilate of, Links Research Group, Inc.
So, if you should happen to get anything in the mail with that name on it, you would probably want to report that as well.
BEWARE!!!
A lot of thought went into this scam. If they had used that brain power for something legitimate they would probably have been able to make an honest and lucrative business.
If it looks to good to be true, it probably and most likely is!
