Cardinal Monitoring & Research Services
Mystery Shopping Scam

Yesterday I received an envelope addressed to me and it was from Quebec, Canada. I immediately was suspicious. After opening the envelope I found a letter, with another form to fill out along with a check for $3, 975.00. The other catch was the check was from Staples, in Framingham, MA.

Called the number listed in the letter and talked to PAMELA DAVIS, she is listed in the letter as your Assignment Co-ordinator. I was informed in the letter and also on the phone to do the following:
1. 3 hours probationary training pay @ 100.00 per hour...$300.00
2. Funds for shopping or hotel lodging...$150.00
3. Service charge by western union/money gram...$170.00
4. Required funds to be sent...$3, 355.00
Total...$3, 975.00

On the first step of my assignment, I was to pose as a potential customer shopping and spending $150.00 at one of the above-named retail locations. Secondly, I would be trained in financial transaction by sending a Western Union/MoneyGram to there training agents in a different location to be specified by my Assignment Co-ordinator.

After talking to them on the phone I got online to check if there were any other reports about this company and there were many. Pleas be carefull and check everything before you do anything with the money.
