I received as several others may have an offical looking check and letter indicating training for position: Customer Service Evaluator. The check amount is for $3969.00 with the following break down for use:
1. 3 hours of probationary training pay @ the rate of $100.00 per hour = $300.00
2. Funds for shopping or Hotel Lodging $150.00
3. Service Charge by Western Union/Money Gram $170.00
4. Required funds to be sent $3, 349.00
Total check amount $3, 969.00
I researched CA Secretary of State no listing and Montreal. I checked the phone number online, it's regestered under Fido Solutions as a cell number. I researched the Bank the check is drawn on: Comerica 21535 Hawthorne Blvd Torrance, CA 90503, phone # 310-316-7111. Several locations of this bank have merged out. Reverse searched names and addresses provided on letter and check. Company name on check: O.H., LLC dba "The Orchards" 810 Los Vellecitos Blvd Suite 201 San Marcos, CA 92069 unable to locate, name on letter: Info Direct Monitoring & Research Services, Mystery Shopping, Market Research, Training & Consulting 435 Fielding Ave Montreal, PQ H4B 1W1 FAX: 1-408-786-2944. Letter signed by Linda Taylor, Manager, Human Resources.
I went to canada-complaints.coms website and read a couple of stories simular to mine using different company names but the same scam. I felt the need to report this company's name and information to help protect the public by adding them to the ripoff list.
