I got this letter in the mail The envelope had only my name and address and a stamp on it that's is all. Inside was a letter and a check in the amount of $4, 975.00. The letter was from Regions Investment Inc..
The letter states I have won the Canadian lottery, for the sum of 120, 000. The check that I received was for the taxes for the Canada gov. for being a non-resident of Canada.
The letter listed the tax agent for the Canadian gov. office, her name was Brenda Edward. Office address is 852 Hope st. Toronto Ontario M1L 2W7, Canada.
Also I was given a claims agent to contact his name is Henry Power. His phone number is 1-778-323-0129 this is his real number if you call he will answer. At the end of the letter it was signed by Jane Garfeld.
I did not call to verify anything I knew right a way that it was a scam. One good way to tell that if it's a scam is, if you are sent money for money you have won it's a scam! If they can send you a check for $4, 975 then they could send you the whole amount.
