Hi Everyone! I came to the complaint to informed you of a bogus lottery by the name of North American Sweepstakes Lottery. I received a letter on June 20, 2008, informing me that I won $125000 in this lottery. A check for $4875 was with the letter. I knew something was wrong right away because the envelope did not have a return address on it, and for that amount of money to be just sitting in my mailbox, a real company would have at least had me sign for it.
The letter gave directions to call their office when I receive the letter and to also deposit the check after I speak to someone at their office. It also stated to wire $2875 to the tax agent for the government taxes on the lottery money. I called that number and spoke with a woman who was reading a script. It was just ridiculous and messy.
I did a reverse search on the phone number and it was a cell number! The check was real and the bank that's on the check is real. Guys, I looked everything up, and this is so bogus!! Don't get caught up if you receive one of these checks because the money will have to be paid back. They are making their money off of you wiring $2875 from the check, and your bank will come after you for that money.
