I recieved a letter in the mail with a check written by Century Bank Sarasota Fl for $3, 875.00. The letter said I had won $125, 000.00 dollars in a shoppers sweepstakes, and the enclosed check was to cover the tax amount of $2, 725.00 to be paid by Money Gram or Western Union. I called the number to claim my prize and the man kept asking me if I was calling for myself or someone else, after I repeated told him the check was made out to me, and I did not understand his question. He asked me to call back when I was ready to answer his questions. So I called the bank that issued the check, I was told it was a Fraud and was given phone numbers and fax numbers to report this and fax the letter and check to and aslo to take the letter to the post master.
