Shaun Nixon of 196 Gibson Ave North Hamilton, Ontario, L8L 6K1 CANADA is running a series of illegal scams via the internet.
His method of operation starts with a post to CraigsList or MySpace.com stating he has tickets for various rock concerts. Upon an exchange of information, he then has the prospective buyer send him an international money order, but he does not deliver the tickets.
In my case, I replied to a CraigsList post for a pair of Pearl Jam tickets at the United Center in Chicago on May 16th, 2006. Upon receipt of an international money order for $140, Mr. Nixon assured me that my tickets were on their way. They were not.
I emailed him several times prior to the show, and through several exchanges, he provided a series of false statements as to the status of the delivery. He stated that he sent them via CanadaPost, yet he provided a non-registered tracking number. I contacted the customer service department at CanadaPost, and they had no record of the transaction.
I then questioned whether he had purchased the tickets in the first place, and he provided me with inaccurate purchase information. There was no record of his purchase according to the records at Ticket Master, the event's only ticket source.
After several more exchanges, Shaun then told me that he contacted the concert's venue directly and left a pair of tickets for me at WILL CALL, even giving me the name of the person to whom he spoke. After having the ticket agent search their cache of WILL CALL tickets, the manager of the United Center's ticket office verified that there was no employee with the name Shaun provided me.
The day after the show, I insisted that he return my money for non-delivery of the tickets. He said he would, yet he never did.
Once I told him that I would press charges, he offered to send the money via Western Union. He even went so far as to provide me with a transaction number, which turned out to be invalid.
In the past few months, I've discovered that he has perpetrated similar scams for several other concerts in New York, Chicago, Edmonton, Philadelphia, etc.

In short, this idiot must be stopped. My fear is that his sociopathic tendencies may pose a threat to the community in the near future. He is continuing to scam people today with no recourse, and he thinks he can get away with it. I would like to prove him wrong.
I have submitted a report to the RECOL (Reporting Economic Crime Online), my local police department, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and the local police in Hamilton, Ontario, Shaun's home town.
