Canasa Holding Company would approve a personal loan for me of $5, 000.00, but I needed to have an insurance company secure my loan (Kingcross credit insurance). As directed by Jackie Russel, on 12/10/04 I wired $850 to an individual by the name of Mary Brown to insure my loan. My funds should have been in my account on 12/13/04. I called the company when the money wasn't in my account. I spoke with Dennis Mitchell in the customer service department and he advised me the funds would be in my account no later than 12/16/04.
On 12/16/04 no money had been deposited so I called Dennis Mitchell and he said that the insurance company backed out of securing my loan. When I asked how long it would take for the company to send me a refund he replyed 4-6 weeks. At this point I contacted the Better Business Bureau and they referred me to Phone Busters, a Canadian anti-fraud call center. There number is 1-888-495-8501. Canasa Holding Company had 26 complaints already on file for this same scam. It has been 4 weeks and I have yet to see a refund.
