We have been a members since 2009 of Lifestyles Holiday Vacation Club in Puerto Plata. Last year we upgraded our membership from Penthouse to Villa Gold (4 bedrooms). We booked for a 4 bedroom villa on 17 February 2011 and were confirmed that the villa was reserved for our family of 7 adults and 2 babies. We were called 4 days before our departure that the villa would not be available because of Platinum membership who have priority over us haved booked most of the villas which leaves un with no rooms at all. I called to complain and was told that nothing could be done except to take an inferior room. We checked our contract and there is no place in the contract tellings that Platinum members had priority over us and also that they can cancel us our villa reservation. This is very disappointing to us we have already paid for this and now are wondering where we shall be staying. We cannot cancel our plain tickets. All that was told to is very fraudulent I would advise people not to enter into any contract with Lifestyles Vacation Club in Puerto Plata. We have already given these people $19, 000.00 and a monthly fee of $150.00 for 10 years which gives a total of $40, 000.00. My son in law also gave them $6, 000.00 cash last year to be included into this membership with the promise of having the villa this year. What can we do, if anybody can help us please communicate.
