Wireless Wave
Shady business practices ~ Will promise you the world just to make a sale!

I am a former employee of this cell phone dealer, and I am writing this to warn others in the area. DO NOT shop at this establishment! Take your business elsewhere, whether you are a Rogers, Bell, Virgin, Solo or Fido customer. The manager at this location is named Jason. He will promise you the world just to sell you on a 3 year contract for any of the above-mentioned companies. Obviously the goal of the job is to make sales, and the only sales that matter are the 3 year contracts. This is why Jason will promise you the world.

If you are scammed into a 3 year contract even if that's not what you wanted, he will add features to your account that you didn't authorize, tell you he's throwing in accessories for free, but you're actually paying for them, sell you the extended warranty for a discounted price only he can give you, but you're really paying full price. He will tell you that if you sign a 3 year, you can come back a year into your contract and get a FREE hardware upgrade.

Anyone who's had a cell phone knows, that you are not usually eligible for a free upgrade until your contract expires. This is how they hook you into signing another 3 year contract. When you come back in 1 year for your free upgrade, you will probably have to talk to one of the sales associates because Jason, the all-star manager, is NEVER there. The sales associate will have to explain to you that you are not eligible for an upgrade because you're only 1 year into your contract. Some of you will get angry, some of you won't.

All of you will say that Jason said you could. You will then be asked to come back later when Jason is there, and you will. When you come back, Jason will not help you. Instead, he will give you the Customer Service # of your cell provider and instruct you to contact them to "straighten" this out. Of course, there is nothing to straighten out because Jason LIED to you to begin with. Here is the kicker: Should you come back to the kiosk to complain, you best watch your cell phone bill like a hawk! I am NOT kidding about this!

He has your cell phone number, therefore, he has any and all of your account information!!! He will access your account via your number, and make changes to it! I can guarantee this because I've seen him do it. This is a very dangerous person to leave your personal information with! If you come in wanting prepaid service, you will be signed up for a 3 year and will begin receiving a bill in the mail.

You will bring everything back to the kiosk and tear a strip off of him or one of the poor sales associates who are clueless as to what happened, and he will tell you that you have to pay a $400 disconnection fee. Again, this is not the case. Depending on your provider, you have 15 days or 15 minutes, or 30 days or 30 minutes. Jason will try to postpone this cancellation so that you will go over your usage. If you go over, you are STUCK with the phone.

Jason also has very shady management practices as well, but that is entirely another topic. Plain & simple, DO NOT deal with this kiosk. Take your business to Bell World or elsewhere. You will pay slightly more, but you will not have the headaches from dealing with Wireless Wave.
