Mail in rebate

My mother and I decided to do a "hardware upgrade" on the same day. We have completely separate accounts with Rogers. Sales lady talked us into it since each phone came with a $50 mail in rebate. Rebate had to be postmarked no later than 60 days after upgrade. We both mailed our rebate form in well ahead of the deadline only to be told by Rogers that they received it too late and would not give us the $50 bill credit we each were entitled to. They flat out robbed my mother and me! Anyone else this has happened to? When our contracts are up, they will lose my entire families business forever.
