I received a check in the mail in the amount of $1890.12 from the "British Lottery Commission". It was payout for third cat-egory winners.
I was to deposit it so that I could pay my tax and clearance fee for my disbursment of $163, 109.12. The total amt of my winnings was $165, 000.
I was then supposed to contact my agent Fred Carlton of Sunallinance (mis-spelled by sender) Disbursment Company which is a "subsicidiary" of British Lottery Commission.
The name and logo on the check reads:
SURFACE LOGIX, INC.
50 Soldiers Field Place
Brighton, MA 02135
Tel: 1-778-552-0594
Further to the right of the above information was: Silicon Valley Bank, 90-4039/1211. This is the check I am supposed to deposit into my bank, I assume so they can get my acct. number. I also thought maybe when you call the number they told me to call, I might be billed some gigantic amount for the call. The number I was to call was 1-901-412-2673.
The check looks legitimate, but the award certificate looks like something anyone could design and print off.
