Please send out a warning about a scammer that is now roaming the streets of the G.T.A. here's exactly what happened to me.
On Tuesday March 06, 2006 i was on my way to work at around 2:00 P.M.
About 20 feet away from my workplace, i was approached my a young male, in his vehicle in his late 20's with a strong Italian accent, very well dressed, with a scruffy look to him.
he asked me if i knew how to get to pearson airport. After i gave the gentleman directions he asked me if i could help him out with one more thing. He began saying that he was from France and that he is on his way home and that he was here in Canada for a fashion show at Niagara falls and that he received some jackets but he did not want to take them over because the taxes would be too much for him so he needed to get rid of them before he got to the airport. so he asked me if i was intrested and i replied saying that i needed to see them first. As the young man gets out of the car he starts explaining to me that he's an Italian living in France and shows me his italian passport for no apparent reason and then "accidently" drops his airline ticket.
after he picks it up he goes around to his backseat and starts pulling out 3 large bags each Having the Armani symbol on it and it reads E.G.A Emporio on them. anyway, he then pulls 1 suede tan jacket out and says its worth $700 and i said to myself Whoa thatsa little out of my pricerange, he then pulls out 3 "leather"jackets and says a price for each of them price ranging from $800-1500 CDN.
anyways me, a 19 year old just trying to make a living was not intrested because they were way too much for my wallet. so after he's done with the prices he says i will sell you 2 jackets for $500 dollars and my mouth dropped, someone like me would never be able to afford the jackets at retail but now I think i've gotten a pretty sweet deal since he is on the rush and needs to get rid of them but i quickly realized that i was late for work and lost all intrest. so i apologized to him and told him i had to run and that i am very sorry. but before i finished he said he would sell me 1 jacket for $150 CDN so he could pay the taxes on the rest and me like a fool i agreed, but me being a very broke fool at 19 years of age turned on my bargaining mode and told him i only had $100 dollars on me and i said take it or leave it because if he was really eager he would take it regardless so i offered that and began to walk away and he quickly rised to the opportunity and said "deal" so me thinking i just got an amazing deal off this guy ran to work with this 700 jacket for 100 bucks and as i arrived at work i quickly went on google to type the name brand of the jacket E.G.A. Emporio and to my surprize i find out that they are fakes...yeah i know i was scammed
now here's the interesting part though. as i got into my search about the jackets more in depth i soon realized that i was not only conned or scammed i was hit by an international fraud artist after i ran across this website
http://www.usaconsumercomplaints.com/reports/ripoff177383.htm or http://www.usaconsumercomplaints.com/reports/ripoff176662.htm
now if you do your research on the website and look for E.G.A. Emporio you will see i was not the only one to be conned theres probably 50 people that have gotten conned by this guy
now the whole point of my email is to warn the G.T.A. about this guy because it seems like he has been hitting the world with his friend who was not there at the time and since this recently happened theres a good chance he could get caught PLEASE!!!!! do whatever you can this is aserious matter and he is most likely in the G.T.A. warn people about this guy
He's in his late 20's medium build very strong italian accent and comes on very friendly lots of facial hair and i believe he had blue eyes PLEASE WARN THEM
