Leons Furniture Store
Customer Satisfaction rated a -0

My husband and I went to Leon's to order a 3 pc sofa set. We found the perfect set and was to have it delivered to us within a week. On the day of delivery, they managed to deliver the wrong sofa and it was taken back before it was even unloaded from the truck.
We went to Leon's within the hour and found that it was indeed the sofa that we ordered but wrong color as the lighting in the back of the store differs from the lighting at the front end. The sales man was upset also as he seen the sofa as being sage green and certainly not chocolate brown as it ended up being in natural light. They apologized but it left us on another hunt for our sofa set.

It didn't take us long to find another set that we loved, also in sage so we ordered it instead. They said that they had it in the warehouse and that it could be delivered within the same day but they would have to put the protectant on it as we had ordered and that it would dry within a few hours. They delivered it on that afternoon, soaking wet and damaged.

Each piece has wooden accent strips that run along each arm and straight across the bottom and when they tipped the chair over to put the legs on, they snapped off the wood piece on the chair and cracked the sofa arm also. They had also managed to staple the wooden accent when wrapping it up for delivery.

We phoned the store once again and they said that they wouldn't take the set back but instead would have someone come out and fix the broken pieces within 5-6 weeks. I can't tell you how livid we were at this point, why would we pay full price for something that is damaged and not to any fault of ours. Nothing we could do but wait at this point.

Weeks went by and heard nothing so we finally went into the store and spoke to the person in charge of setting up apts for repairs. She said that they should have got in touch with us by now as the parts were in but apparently we were overlooked and once again. She got in touch with the person that does repairs and he phoned us the same day to make arrangement to repair out pieces but also failed to show up or phone once that day finally arrived.

We again phoned Leon's and spoke once again to the person in charge of setting up apts and she once again apologized for our inconvenience and offered us a $50.00 gift certificate to East Side Mario's. I can tell you that this certainly in no way made up for all our problems and really all we wanted was the new furniture without broken parts.

A couple days passed and we thought, what the heck, we have these gift certificates so we might as well go out on behalf of Leon's. After finishing our dinner I went to the counter to pay and only to find out that they wouldn't accept the certificates as they had expired months earlier. I can't tell you how much I just wanted to scream by this point but held my composure and paid the bill and when the next day come along my husband phoned Leon's and explained what had happened only to find miserable voice on the other end. This voice was the same lady in charge of setting up the apts in the first place. My husband could hardly believe what he was hearing as she said that "They've tried everything to compensate us and we just aren't satisfied" How do you like that?

She then told us to come in and they would reimburse us the $65.00 we spent at the restaurant, what a nice gesture don't you think? They finally got somebody out to fix our furniture but didn't have all the pieces so told us that they would reorder the missing pieces and it would be at the latest another 5 wks.

Well, its now been about 2 months since and still haven't heard from them but they haven't' heard the last of us if someone doesn't show up. Since then we've decided to redo our entire living and dining room areas, new wooden floors, new paint, new furniture but I assure you it's not being ordered from Leon's and I want everyone else to know that you can't trust Leon's, they talk the talk but as soon as the money is in they're hands they just don't care about the customer anymore.
I say to everyone thinking of buying furniture, "Don't Shop at Leon's"
