If you want high prices and customer service with attitude then you can take your shoes to this location for repairs. On Monday May 7, 2012 I had the misfortune of taking a sandal that had a few straps come loose. I usually use the shoe repair shop in Winnipeg Square but foolishly decided to take it here instead. As I stood at the counter I saw two men sitting inside the chop chatting. On looked up stone faced and took his time coming to the counter. It was as if I was I was interrupting a very important dialogue and he was none too pleased.
I showed him the sandal and and he asked where the other one was. I told him this is the one that needs repairs. He told me it would be $10.00 . I asked it they took interact he said it was cash only. He gave me a slip and I asked if I had to pay now he said it would be ready next day and no I didn’t have to pay now. I left it with him and walked away feeling that I had just received the most lacklustre customer service at a high price and I promised myself I would never use the service again.
I returned 2 days later simply because I wasn’t anxious to meet the same stone faced person again but I had no choice. There he was playing a game on his phone or something. So of course I interrupted him again. He sauntered over to me stone faced again, said nothing but pointed to two sandals on the counter. I pointed to the one that was mine and he said it would be $10.50.
I started to take the money out of my purse and was in the process of looking for .50 in change when he abruptly left, picked up his phone came back to the counter and continued to play his game. Bummer! I did it again interrupted a perfectly good activity. He took my money gave me change and without a word walked away back to his table to resume his game. Talk about rude. As for the sandal you can see it has been glued as there is some visible around the edges. I will see how it holds up.
