Auto Sellers Network
Scamming Selling Techniques

I received a call about a week ago from a lady named Samantha who said she was from THE AUTO SELLERS NETWORK and she was offering me a solution to sell my vehicle through them. They offer to put your vehicle in over 60 different adds across the country, they will finance any who will buy your vehicle all it takes is an original fee of $499.00. This is to be paid upfront by credit card and it is mainly so you don't sell your vehicle out from under them. They tell you that $99 they will keep and the rest will be reimburse to you if your vehicle does not sell after 90 days. Well I hummed and hawed and the price was suddenly reduced to $375.00, with 300 to be reimburse if my vechicle does not sell. I was not sure so I asked for time to decide, and to look up information on the company that I had never heard of. Samantha was insistent on saying the company was apart of the BBB and that they have an A rating and most vechicles they advertise are sold within two weeks.

So the next day I received another call and I was still not sure as their company name didn't come up on any searches on the BBB site. The price became suddenly reduced to $250.00 with $200.00 to be reimburse. I asked for more time and again the BBB was mentioned and their great reputation. The next day I recieved 4 phone calls in the span of 3 hours all from an unregistered number where no message was left, I answered the 4th phone call and it was a guy named Steven Wright from THE AUTO SELLERS NETWORK, telling me about the company saying they have been in business since 2002, that they are apart of BBB with an A rating and that they only have 4 complaints all with resolutions. This is where I noticed a typical high pressure sales pitch with insistance on trying to get credit card and money. Eventually the phone call was transfered to a Kevin Dallas and when I decided against going further I was transfered back to Steven Wright where I asked for more time and hung up the phone.

They have been in business since 2002 and are apart of the BBB. They forget to mention that they have changed their business name 4 times in seven years and they have only been apart of the BBB since 2009. 4 complaints in 5 months in my opinion is not an A reputation. (and it's only the beginning on May) I've checked tons of other sites and have come across many complaints about this company, consumers not getting their money back, others not finding their vechicles advertised on the websites they say they will be advertised on. I don't like the promises this company makes and I really don't like how this company attaches and uses the BBB name to try to get sales and I think that you as a representative of the BBB should be aware of this issue and can take appropriate action.
