Auto Seller Network
Advertising scam

I got an unsolicited phone call from Dean Kumar at autosellernetwork.com. They got my information from one of my online ads because they had all the details about my car. Assured me that they had interested buyers lined up in my area who had financing. Assured me that 85-90% of vehicles sold in first week, and that he was confident that my vehicle would sell for $12500 (I had it listed for $11, 500). He said they would advertise it on 40 different websites including Walmart.com. Had me go to their online Better Business Bureau website to see their AAA rating. Told him a number of times I wasn’t interested. Called me back several times. Finally on the last call, he told me he had someone lined up who wanted to come see my car the next day. I thought what the hell? If they are a scammer, I can always get my money back from MasterCard. He assured me that they would list the car on Driving.ca and also in the local paper in the classifieds until it sold or up to 90 days. He reduced price of their listing by half and also the guarantee fee by half.

I was to receive an email immediately, I think so that I could manage the advertisement and upload pictures. The email was also going to provide the list of all of the different places the car was being advertised. I was also assured that they had a client lined up who wanted to look at my vehicle and who would be giving me a call. I never received any of the above. I checked the local classifieds and driving.ca to see if they had listed my car several times, but nothing. Called MasterCard – they said I had to call autosellernetwork.com first. I called autosellernetwork.com. The customer service rep said it must be an IT issue that my car was not on driving.ca and that their IT department would call me within 48 hours. She also mentioned that their success rate selling vehicles is 50% (a far cry from what the first agent said). No one from IT calls me.

A few weeks later, I get a call from Autosellernetwork in response to my BBB complaint. I was in a meeting so I asked her to call back in 30 minutes. She assured me she would. Never got a call, but their response to BBB claimed that she spoke with me, apologized, offered me a 100% money back guarantee and that I was very satisfied, which was a complete lie. Called MasterCard again, they conferenced in Autosellernetwork. She said I would have to download refund form off website. She would not address the fact that the ad was not where they said it would be and that she would check with the 1st agent. Never heard back. Went to download refund form today as it is 90 days. Get a server error when I try to access link.
