I put my car up for sale with a company who is well known and very reputable, this is how Global Auto Registry found me. They called me and made their claim, which sounded great. For $300.00 they would both advertise my car as well as promote it through their loans department (apparently they are also into car loans and lend money to people for cars, the people are then to purchase their vehicle through GAR). If I were to pay an additional $50.00, I would be on the gold plan meaning that if my car did not sell in 90 days they would refund my $300.00 (sounded like a no brainer). I told the so-called account manager that I would get back to him and we left it at that. The next day and for the next couple of days I was getting calls from this personally assigned account manager saying he has a list of persons wanting to purchase my vehicle, so I signed up. After the formalities (monies paid) were looked after, I never received another call from my "personally assigned account manager". After 90 days of absolutely nothing, I wanted my money back so I could list it with someone who will actually do something. I called GAR and they said I required the refund document; well the infamous refund document took a number of phone calls, reminder phone calls and e-mails to finally attain this document. I spoke to them and they said you only have 5 days to make this claim after your 90 days is up and it probably took a month to get this F'in document. Once I received it, I filled it out, had it notarized (their rule) and sent it via Canada post on a program where the end receiver must sign at time of receipt. A week went by and I checked with Canada post and it was signed for, so I called GAR and they were still giving me the run around. I called again but I believe they have caller ID and completely avoided me and continue to do so. I am out $350.00 because of these crooks.
If you reading this were considering using them, think again, their business operating budget is collecting monies from people like me and not lending money or selling cars!
