Consumer ripoff deceptive company debiting bank accounts for false promise of credit card Ontario

I previously contacted you and was told via email that you would work to get my refund of $199 credit back to my bank account. I have not yet received it, but I realize that it takes time. I just wanted to report the following actions by First Capital Consumers Group.

First Capital offered me two credit cards with $2500 limits on each. The cards never arrived in spite of numerous calls that I placed (at my expense) to 1-416-488-4664.

They debited my account for the amount of $199, and then tried to do it twice more! I live on SSI funds. That was nearly half my monthly income.

Finally, after I filed with you for a refund, I received a package from them in the mail with applications for other credit cards with the accompanying statement in tiny print, "we are not affiliated with this credit company." I carefully read another "offer" for a credit card. In small print, it states that if I send it in, I will be waiving my right to a refund.

I just wanted to warn others who might receive this misleading packet of what they call "benefits" which really consists of several offers to pay to get other services. They also refer people to a site called www.benefitz.com.
