I received a letter from National Trust Financial Services in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada. The letter stated I was a winner in the Compensation Lottery Draw organized for all leading stores in Canada and the U.S. Enclosed was a check that appeared to be authentic for $4, 520.00.
The letter stated this check was to be used to pay the Non-Resident Government Service Tax, payable to my tax agent by MONEYGRAM. I was praying that it wasn't a joke or a scam. Later on i found out it was a scam. I can't believe these people almost get away with this. It would have made my hole family lost all of our money.
